HTML5 Viewer textbox overwrites subreport

  • dbrajan 2 weeks, 1 day ago

I have a section report with subreport in page header and a richtextbox displaying html in detail section. When the textbox breaks to next page it overwrites the subreport header in the Html 5 viewer (but it prints fine). AR version 10.3. Sample app inculded.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for providing me the sample application.
This looks like an issue related to Line Spacing while using HTML5 viewer. You can use the code as follows in your HTML page which has HTML5 Viewer:

    body id=”mainbody” data-ng-app=”testapp” data-ng-controller=”CustomerController” style=”line-break:normal”

    Hello,

I am able to replicate this issue with ActiveReports 10.0. I will further test this issue with v11.0 and let you know.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Developers confirmed it is a bug. To workaround the issue you can use one of the following solutions:
    1. Split one table into two manually (see attached file, rename the file to html)
    2. Replace the table element with something else (all supported tags are described here:

    http://arhelp.grapecity.com/webhelp/AR11/index.html#RichTextBox.html)

    Thanks,

Workaround 1 is not feasible because html is dynamic and it’s not clear where to split the table in two to avoid the issue.
Workaround 2: I don’t think there is another supported tag that can produce a column layout. Div is not in the list.

    Hi,

In that case you would need to wait. I would ask for any other solution/work around for this issue till we fix it in the AR build. I will let you know when I get an update on the same.

    Thanks,
    Deepak Sharma
