Print 15" height report to Receipt printer

Using Active Reports 2 in VB 6:
i have a AR2 report that prints to a Star TSP700 printer. that is a continuos roll receipt printer. this specific report is total of 15 inches in its height.
if i set the PageSettings.PaperHeight = ( 1440 * 15.25 ) for the report, it displays in print preview as expected. but when sent to the printer, it is cutoff at 11 inches…..regardless of the settings i use for the printer. typically, the printer paper size is set to 72mm x ‘Receipt’, which allows continuous feed up to approx 3000mm.
What must i do to have my AR2 report print to the printer at this height and width….as it appears in the preview window?

If you want to set the height of the report, you may go to File->Page Setup-> Select Printer Settings in the ActiveReports Designer. Then you can change the Paper Size to Custom Paper Size and set the height and width of the report according to your needs.

There exactly a problem with you printer that it does not recognize the size as you configured. Try work around with it resetting the value of the size, reduce if possible so the output may come closer to what you preferred, otherwise ask for technician to work with your printer issue. For help, you might want to ask experts from, for I know they are best on these kind of problems.

I am also facing an issue with Active Report 2 to print 3″ width Thermal Receipt print but no fix height.

In my case, Page Height or Report Height is not fix. This means if there is only one item in detail section then report should print one detail section item and then total of sale receipt. If there are 15 items in detail section then report should print 15 items and then total of sale receipt.

Over all page height will vary on run time. How can I do this just to make sure to print in one go with different variation of items.

If I am failed to explain it please let me know.

Printing a report with variable height should not cause any problem. We tried printing a report with variable detail section at our end and did not face any issue. Keeping the Paper Size to Default printer report was able to detect the variable detail section items and print accordingly.

We have attached a sample vb6 application used at our end for testing.

Please do let me know if we misinterpret your issue.
