Tablix in Page Report

  • ricagmcr 6 months ago

    Hi…
I am creating a Report Page with a “Tablix” object to generate a page report as shown in the “Vertii.jpg” image that is attached in this post.

Is it possible that this same report is shown horizontally? That is, the tables are generated horizontally and when vertical (4×3)? As in the image “Horiz.jpg”

In the Page1 \ FixedLaoout \ Grouping property I am grouping by a field that is what I call Group 1..N in the image

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Is there any specific reason of using Page Report with Tablix control.
Could you please share your use case, since the layout desired by you can be easily achieved by using SectionReport with SubReport control placed in Detail section.

I have attached a screen-shot of what can be achieved using above mentioned approach and have also attached a sample application for reference.
Let me know if this meets your requirement or not.

Also, I am investigating further on achieving the desired layout using Page Report.

    Regards
    Ruchir Agarwal

    Thank you
What I need is something similar to the example it sends me, but in my case I need the price column (the image I send previously) to go from 1 to N, that is, I can have several prices.

What in the case of the example that sends the being that the commune of the quantity is from 1 to N. But in the example that sends me the column of the amount is fixed, it is always a single column.

Matrix is used, because if it shows me N columns horizontally. The actual case of my report is about several lists Rendglones) of prices for several different products (Columns), all this grouped by cities (Group 1, Gruop N in the images that send beforehand)
How can I achieve what I need with either Page Reports or Section Reports?

    Hello,

Sorry for the delay in response.

For meeting your requirement, you need to use Tablix control inside List control in RDL report and set Column=2.

For complete implementation, please refer to the attached sample RDL report.
*Note: Make sure to attach the demo report with the shared NWIND database.
We have modified the NWIND database for the “Dairy Products” group in order to show variable number of column(s).

And is there any way that the tables are 2 * 3? For example.

    Hello,

It depends on the data that you are loading in the Tablix control.
For having 2*3 tables, you need to apply row grouping on a field that has 2 values and the column grouping to such a column that has only 3 values.

In the example of the tablix within the list (previous attachment) where part is specified so that the report is grouped by the field “CategoryName”. Or how do you know the report that should group by this field?

    Hello,

You could group the report (sent previously) by the Field “CategoryName”, by applying grouping on the List. You may apply grouping on the List by: Selecting List control on report-> go to its “Property Dialog” -> Select “Detail Grouping” option -> Enter the Field name (“CategoryName”) in “Group on” tab.

For more information on how to apply grouping in List, please refer to the following Documentation link:

    Hi,

You can make use of this property by using clicking “Property Dialog” in the “Command Section” that appears just above the “Description”. You can resize the commands or description sections by dragging the top or bottom edges up or down.
If the commands or description section is missing in Visual Studio, you can toggle it back on by right-clicking anywhere in the Properties window and clicking Commands or Description.
